I'd like you to meet my best friend... the rolled hem foot! Love this little gadget!!! The only problem is that sometimes getting her started is a little tricky. She likes to fiddle faddle around with the bobbin thread. Some times it takes her a good inch or inch and a half to get her groove on.
The other day I was getting a little mad at her (friends sometimes do that), when I realized that all I had to do was put a piece of paper under the fabric to get her going from the very start. In the above picture I used a piece of a grocery sack, worked great....no more troubles!
I need to learn that trick!

Bobbi--I saw this post and the picture and I thought "I have one of those" so, I went and looked and, sure enough, I do. So, I tried to use it and I am not having luck. We are not friends at all. Do you have any other tips? I can't seem to keep a roll going. I would love suggestions because I can see the value of such a friend. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI do sew, but I've never used this attachment & didn't even know about it. Thanks for the great idea!
