Long before pillowcase dresses were in vogue I made these fun little numbers for the girls to wear on a cruise. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was the last time I made my girls matching clothes. (I hate last's because you never know that that's what they are until years pass and you think, "wow, that was the last time I ever....whatever it was").
Shortly after that Miss Liesl, who was about 8 at the time, announced that nobody else wears home made clothes and she didn't like it. I was so sad that that part of my mommyhood was over.
Well, I was wrong! Apparently they go through this weird little pre-teen/teenage vortex and eventually come out the other side. In my case, begging me to make them clothes! I was so excited that I got right on that!!!!

I wished my grandaughters would wear dresses. They are hip, sheek, totally cool. I like them.
ReplyDeleteNo pattern needed? What? If you make a tutorial let me know PA-LEASE!! I would love to make a mini version for my daughter to be! Thanks for sharing your darling ideas! PS I love your girls.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I love the look of matching clothes! I have older boys now, so there's not much chance of anything matching now. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time at your blog...it's beautiful.
